Planning Poker
This app was developed after searching for a simple planning poker app that had a clean, simple to use interface with no adverts. As a result, this app was developed to ensure that the team can effectively plan their epics / sprints and tasks without the distraction of adverts.
The app contains 3 main methods for estimating:
- Story Point Sizing:
- 0, ½, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 20, 40, 100, ♾️, ☕
- T-Shirt Sizing:
- 0, XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL, ♾️, ☕
- Story Point Sizing:
- 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, ♾️, ☕
In case you are wondering what those random icons are for, the infinity symbol is there in case there is just no way to estimate something until further information has been obtained. The coffee one is used when a session requires a break, be that a bathroom or coffee break.
Below are a few screenshots of how the app currently looks but this is likely to change in the future as I experiment with different themes
Future Improvements
Below is a list of possible future updates:
- Feedback and about sections
- Custom background - use your own background images on the back of the card so teams can have their own "branding"
- Group sessions - join a session with colleagues and view everyones estimate (perfect for remote teams)
- Custom sizings - create your own estimation scales and share them with colleagues
- Epic management and recording - Link estimates directly to Epics add to the app
